Finally made time to take some pictures of Xodus's first kitten, Elpis Ysabel. She was born July 30, 2001, which makes her exactly three months old in these pictures.
So far, she looks like the first show-quality kitten born to Elpis, so we're very excited!

In case you didn't know, kittens aren't fond of sitting still. It didn't help that all the other cats and kittens wanted to know what was going on, too! I took three profile shots, and this was the best of them.
It's not really a profile, but at least it's in focus.

As with most of our cats, Ysabel has a goofy nick-name: Marble Head. You can almost see how she came by that name in this picture, but not quite. When she was younger, her Lynx-stripes hadn't quite "coalesced" into a recognizable pattern yet, and she looked like marble (or freckles).

Painters paint their own thumbs, we take pictures of our cats' feet.
Of course, we tried to get both front feet, to show the gloving, but she just wouldn't sit still! :-)

Just a quick shot of her laces, to show they're pretty good. Not enough detail on the right leg to see it perfectly, but if you look at the larger version you'll see that it's a well defined V, as it should be.
